Chemonics seeks Country Technical Leads (CTLs) in support of the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) 8 Decision Support (DS) project and who will be based in the following country offices: Burundi, Uganda, Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Kenya. The CTL serves as the technical analysis lead for the country and is responsible for supporting and supervising all staff within the country office as well as providing quality control for national and sub-national level project deliverables and ensuring that activities and products for the country are delivered in a high-quality and timely manner. The CTL is directly supervised by the Regional Technical Lead (RTL) for their region. The CTL will be required to travel regularly within the country, and some regional and international travel may also be required, security permitting. FEWS NET is an integrated set of activities funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and is intended to provide timely, accurate, evidence-based, and transparent food security early warning information and analysis. The eighth phase of FEWS NET includes the Decision Support (DS) project which is charged with providing integrated monitoring and analyses of current and forecast acute food insecurity in countries worldwide to support the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) policy and programmatic decisions.

The CTL will be based in the cities of the following country offices: Bujumbura, Burundi; Kampala, Uganda; Port au Prince, Haiti; Kinshasa or Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo; Islamabad, Pakistan; Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Nairobi, Kenya.
