Resource Mobilization
RADPI entrusts this role with the responsibility of structuring and implementing its resource mobilization strategy in a funding environment undergoing profound change.
• Continuously map the funding opportunities available in the DRC from donors still active: the EU and ECHO, the UK FCDO, Canada’s GAC, AFD, United Nations agencies (UNICEF, WFP, UNHCR, UNFPA, WHO), OCHA mechanisms (CERF and ERF), and private foundations.
• Produce concept notes and full proposals that reflect the real strength of RADPI’s programs and respond precisely to each donor’s priorities.
• Identify and develop consortium opportunities with international NGOs in order to position RADPI for larger-scale competitive funding.
• Manage donor relationships over time, from initial contact through to final reports, building a reputation as a reliable and rigorous partner.
Manage the Grant Portfolio with Rigor
Rigorous management of active grants determines RADPI’s reputation with its financial partners and its
ability to access new funding.
• Ensure programmatic, financial, and administrative compliance of all active grants, in close coordination with the Finance and Program teams.
• Draft and supervise interim and final narrative reports that document results honestly and accurately, and that make donors want to continue investing in RADPI.
• Master and ensure the application of procedures specific to each donor: EU PRAG, FCDO Smart Rules, GAC conditions, OCHA guidelines, and UN agency procedures.
• Monitor project budgets, anticipate variances, and prepare teams for external audits.
Program Quality
Program quality is the foundation of RADPI’s institutional credibility. This role ensures its strengthening in a
systematic and sustainable manner.
• Develop and harmonize RADPI’s programmatic tools: logframes, theories of change, MEAL plans,
SMART indicators, and operational procedures.
• Embed humanitarian standards in the teams’ daily practice: SPHERE, INEE, humanitarian- development-peace nexus principles, and accountability to affected populations.
• Support field teams in documenting results and capitalizing on lessons learned.
• Ensure the effective integration of gender and protection throughout all programs.
Strengthen RADPI’s Positioning and Capacities
Beyond immediate results, this position contributes to strengthening RADPI’s institutional capacities over
the long term.
• Represent RADPI authoritatively in humanitarian coordination spaces: clusters, OCHA meetings, NGO forums, and the HCT.
• Build RADPI’s institutional profile with donors and partners: capacity statement, presentation materials,
and presence in partner databases.
• Train and coach RADPI’s programmatic and financial managers in proposal writing, grants
management, reporting, and MEAL, with the objective of building sustainable internal expertise.
• Help management structure a resource mobilization policy that will serve RADPI over the long term.
