About the Role:
The Mining Governance and Accountability Specialist plays a vital role in the implementation of USAID GGA DRC component IR4 “Systems to reduce corruption and enhance accountability in the mining sector strengthened” related activities, focused on reducing corruption and enhancing accountability in the mining sector. This role encompasses being responsible for all accountability related activities of the GGA, supporting project planning, implementation of technical activities, liaising with provincial and local project stakeholders, supporting donor reporting, and monitoring and evaluation. This role will be embedded within DAI’s offices in Kibali/Haut-Uélé and will cover the Haut-Uélé province.
The Mining Governance and Accountability Specialist will be responsible for activities implementation at provincial and ETD levels. Activities to implement relate to improving transparency and accountability, and fight against corruption in the public management of mining resources, traceability in the Artisanal mining sector (ASM), EITI standard implementation in the DRC mining sector, etc.
